I don’t have any cats, although I would love one! My neighbourhood already has a huge cat population so adding more to the territory warfare doesn’t seem like a good idea. My house isn’t currently set up to be a safe cat home either, but one day this will change and I intend to adopt a cat then, and it doesn’t have to be one of my favourite breeds either. I know there are lots of cats out there who need a loving home from the humble moggie through to more exotic felines…
But for the purposes of art, I can pick any breeds I like to illustrate, I’m particularly fond of the larger breeds with longer hair and stocky builds, with lots of personality… here are my three illustrated cats, I’d like to introduce them to you.
British Shorthair – Laid back, cuddly cat loves human company, this particular kitty cat is also very inquisitive and friendly too.
Persian Cat – generally a calm and gently cat who enjoys being pampered, this particular specimen is somewhat stubborn and grumpy, but still has a heart of gold, providing he gets his own way, which he does most of the time.
Birman cat – sweet, intelligent, playful and gentle, a truly beautiful and ancient breed of cat. This long haired beauty is an elegant cat and would love to find a home in a little girl’s bedroom or any cat lover’s home.
All my cats are available as signed 10 x 8 inch prints, a set of three 8 x 6 inch prints and as cat greeting cards too. Cat’s at www.teethandclaws.co.uk
Also available in my Etsy shop too – Teeth and Claws on Etsy – Cats
If anyone is looking to add a cat to their household I urge you to visit your local animal shelter or cat rescue centre to adopt one of the many needy animals from there.
